Education | Intervention | Treatment for Addict | Family Treatment
Welcome
For virtually every disease that takes the lives of Americans, there is a foundation or organization funding treatment and providing support for those affected…
…every disease except the #1 killer in the United States: addiction.
RecoveryAid’s mission is to change that—for all types of addictions. More people die from the effects of untreated addiction than from cancer, heart disease and AIDS combined! Addiction isn’t simply a public health problem—it’s an epidemic.
Countless individuals and institutions are making important contributions to the cause of addiction treatment. Treatment centers, intervention providers and many other resources exist to help those who suffer. As vital as these elements are, their support only reaches those who reach out first. Most alcoholics, drug addicts and others with addictions are unable or unwilling to make that first step.
These are the people who desperately need help. Without that support, they will die. They will become statistics in this ever-growing public health plague that afflicts every race, every age group and every socio-economic level in the country.
Recovery Aid’s purpose is twofold:
- We provide education, to make the world aware of the urgent need for helping addicts who otherwise couldn’t or wouldn’t get treatment.
- We assist in placing addicts in treatment centers and aftercare, providing financial aid when necessary.
Ken Seeley, CEO of RecoveryAid, is committed to an ambitious vision for the organization he founded in 2007:
“Recovery Aid will become the Red Cross of addiction treatment.”
To bring about this new concept in treating addiction, Recovery Aid focuses on four areas of direct action: Education, Intervention, Treatment for the Addict, and Family Treatment.
This site is designed to provide information on how RecoveryAid’s efforts reach out to help those who need it most. You’ll also learn how you can embrace our vision, support RecoveryAid, and get involved in bringing a real chance for change to those who can’t help themselves.
